My total: 141

I realized several things about this list. First, that I own quite a few of these movies and have yet to watch them, which would have made my total even higher. Second, there is a distinct lack of classics, or cult classics on the list. And third, summer programming on cable prevented me from catching up on my movie watching, and now the fall season appears to be crowded with potential goodness as well.

And as long as I'm talking about the fall season, I have come to the conclusion that Lost is the most overhyped, overrated show on television. Granted, I watched every ep last season, and found most of it enjoyable. But the season finale refused to pay off, and I had no desire to rewatch any eps on reruns. Veronica Mars, however, stayed just as fresh in reruns as it was in its original run. It annoys me that it is not getting the recognition it deserves, and that the Emmys also neglected it, and Rescue Me with their nominations. And yes, I realize this is all superficial shit, but it's all I'm capable of at the moment.
